Ernst Sainte`

Jean Baptiste Clemente Sainté known as Ernst Sainte was born on February 7th, 1945 in Port- Au-Prince, Haiti to Clairmencia Paulestin Youte and Emmanuel Sainté. He attended Ecole Professionelle JB Damier to learn Auto Body Repair in Port- Au- Prince, Haiti in 1965.

On October 3rd, 1974, he married Albine Nicolas Leger. In 1979 after arriving in America he was able to receive sponsorship from Yellow Bird Auto Service in Astoria, NY for an employment Visa.

Ernst continued to pursue his career in auto body repair, eventually opening his own auto body repair shop in Brooklyn, NY in the year of 1987. In 1991, he decided to close his shop and moved with his family to Long Island, NY. From 1991 through 2009, Ernst was a school bus driver with We Transport.

Even though he closed his auto body shop in Brooklyn, Ernst loved repairing vehicles and would continue to repair cars for local friends and community members at his home after driving the school bus.

Ernst was well known in his community for being jovial and always having a kind and calm demeanor. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was very accepting of people as they were and never cast judgment. He was known for having youthful energy and spirit with progressive ideals.

On Friday, February 18, 2022, Ernst Sainté, loving husband and father of three children, passed away at age of 77.

Ernst Sainté is survived by his wife Albine Sainté, his children, Bruce, David and Rebeca, his grandchildren, Jacob, Anastasi, Jennalee, Leona, Eli, Ella and Estelle his brothers, Edward, Pierre, Gerald, his sisters, Immacula, Margarette and Kettely. He is also survived by several nephews, nieces and cousins.

A visitation for Ernst will be held Friday, February 25, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia 30039. Following the visitation will be a funeral service at 12:00 PM at Eternal Hills Funeral Home Chapel, 3594 Stone Mountain Highway, Snellville, Georgia 30039.
